Welcome to the Bodmin & District Horizon Club features page – this is where we get to celebrate all the amazing things we do at the club and on our weekend activities.

On the Resources page you can have a look at past newsletters to get a good idea of what we do over the 12 months.

In July we host the Birthday celebrations – presenting certificates/ cups/trophies for the members that take part in the tournaments & specific perpetual cups awarded for different categories.

We also invite all the wonderful supporters of the club to come along and enjoy the evening – and to see for themselves all the things that we do as a club and to join in the fun.

Horizon got Talent & Tournaments

Upcoming Horizon got Talent and Tournaments – with the Horizon got talent on the 18th of May where any member can show case their talents, such as singing, dancing, playing an instrument or even telling jokes. The winner who is voted for on the night (by all the members) will be announced at the Birthday celebrations in 2023. The tournaments start on the 15th of June 2023 with the members having the opportunity to try Bocca, Darts, Archery, Skittles, Table Tennis and Pool plus Bagatelle – again the winners will be announced at the Birthday celebrations 2023.

Arts & Crafts Sessions

Where our lovely Arty Volunteers Anna & Josie will help a member to make, Christmas, Easter, Mother/ Father’s Day cards and other cards.

Previously we have enjoyed joint activities with other Clubs, pre pandemic and hope to start building these relationships throughout 2023.

St Breward Skittles Night

Another popular night where the members get to show case their skills and the fantastic support, we receive from the St Breward Club means we now go twice a year. There is always a winner and a runner up – its good fun and everybody has a go.

ENTERTAINLY DIFFERENT WORKSHOPS 2023

We have started an amazing 4 week (including performance) workshop program with Rob Pudner the fantastic Artist from Entertainly different.

So here are just a few of the last couple of weeks.

Just a small selection of pictures from the workshops Workshop pictures

Badger Forest School barbecue and activities evening

Where the members get to ‘go back to nature’ and enjoy activities such as dam making, cooking or burning marshmallows over an open fire all at Cardinham woods – a great outdoor venue and we hope to build on this and offer more activities once we have secured more funding.
